Connection, trust, and collaboration are the foundations that foster all sorts of beautiful things around here. Getting family photos taken CAN be fun! I believe that standing stiff and still for longer than three seconds gets awkward real fast. I believe that breath, movement, and play will let us celebrate a life well-lived and capture the intimate magic in even the simplest of moments. Even if things feel chaotic and messy at times (let’s be honest…because they can!), it doesn’t mean they also can’t be beautiful. I want to celebrate this perfectly imperfect season of life.

I strive to make sure your experience doesn’t feel forced, dishonest, or inauthentic. I want you to feel like you. I want you to say “YES! This is my family”. If you don’t have that reaction, I haven’t done my job. Let’s take the time we have to create together, to focus on connection, and capture you and your family just as you are right now. What types of photographs do you want of you or your children? What do you want to remember? What do you want to preserve? Let this be a love letter to you, your family, and your children.  I would be honored to bear witness and capture your unique story.

I’ll be honest. These sessions are not for large extended families, those who want traditional, posed, everyone smiling at the camera in matching outfits photos, or just need a few images for a holiday card. We will absolutely get some family shots, but if matchy and posed are what you are after, we might not be the best fit. That’s totally okay! You deserve a photographer that fits your wants and needs. I want our time together to be an intimate, creative, collaborative, honest, and heart-driven portrayal. If you are looking for a large extended family session, let’s chat long form.
